Cookie Policy

Exactly which cookies pairedplus.com sets, what each one is for, how long it lasts, and how to refuse them. The list is short.

Last updated: October 30, 2026 Effective: October 30, 2026

The short version

  • Two cookies, both Google Analytics. _ga and _ga_WQPH5SMX2G, both lasting two years. That is the whole list on a normal visit.
  • No advertising or social tracking. No Meta pixel, no retargeting, no session recording, no data brokers.
  • Chat cookies only if you chat. The chat window sets nothing until you open it and send a message.
  • Easy to refuse. Blocking analytics does not affect how any page on the Site works.

Want the wider picture? Our Website Privacy Policy explains everything else we collect and why, and our Website Terms of Use covers the rules for using the Site.

1.What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store. The browser sends it back to the site on later page loads, which is what lets a site remember that two requests came from the same visitor. Cookies are used for things as ordinary as keeping you logged in and as consequential as tracking you across the web.

This policy also covers two related technologies that behave like cookies, and you will see them referred to alongside cookies throughout:

  • Local storage works like a cookie but is stored separately, is not sent with every request, and can hold more data. It is often used to remember a draft or a preference.
  • Pixels and tags are small pieces of code that load from another company's server and report back that a page was viewed. A single tag can set several cookies at once.

Some cookies disappear when you close your browser — these are session cookies. Others stay until they expire or you delete them — these are persistent cookies. And cookies can belong to the site you are visiting (first-party) or to a different company whose code runs on that site (third-party).

2.Scope: this site, not our software

This policy covers the cookies set by pairedplus.com and by the services we load on it. It does not cover the cookies used inside the Paired Plus and Transcend Online software applications that subscribers log into, which are described in their own agreements.

If you are a client of a business that uses our software to manage appointments, that business and its booking tools set their own cookies. Please check their policy.

3.What we actually use

We keep this short because the Site uses very little. When you load a page on pairedplus.com, the only cookies set are the two Google Analytics cookies below. We confirmed that by loading the Site in a clean browser and inspecting what was stored.

There are no advertising cookies, no social-media pixels, no heat-mapping or session-recording tools, and no cross-site tracking beyond aggregate analytics.

4.Cookie inventory

Cookies set on pairedplus.com. Names, purposes, and lifetimes were verified against the live site in October 2026.
CookieCategoryPurposeLifetime
_gaAnalyticsGoogle Analytics uses this to tell one visitor apart from another. It contains a randomly generated client identifier, not your name or email address.2 years from your last visit
_ga_WQPH5SMX2GAnalyticsStores and counts page views for this specific Google Analytics property. The suffix is the property's measurement ID.2 years from your last visit

Both are first-party cookies in the sense that they are set on the pairedplus.com domain, but the data they collect is sent to Google. Both are marked SameSite=Lax and are readable by scripts on the page rather than being hidden from them.

5.Cookies that appear only when you use something

A few cookies are created by tools that sit on the Site but stay quiet until you interact with them. You will not see these on a normal visit to a page.

  • Live chat. The PureChat chat window loads on every page but sets nothing until you open it and start a conversation. At that point it stores an authentication cookie named purechatAuthv5 and a visitor identifier named prodvtftwPID, so your chat survives a page change and our team can see the conversation is the same one. These last for the length of your chat session, and the identifier may persist so a returning conversation can be recognized.
  • Forms. When you submit a demo request or contact form, the site's form handler may set a short-lived cookie to confirm the submission came from the Site rather than from an automated script. This is a security measure and disappears when you close the browser.
  • WordPress. If you ever log into the WordPress administration area, WordPress sets authentication and preference cookies, including wordpress_test_cookie to check that your browser accepts cookies. Visitors who are not logged in never receive these.

6.Google Analytics in detail

We use Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager container GTM-WM3PR567 for property G-WQPH5SMX2G. It tells us how many people visit, which pages and articles they read, roughly where in the world they are, what device and browser they use, and which search terms brought them. We use that to decide what to write, which pages to improve, and whether the Site loads quickly enough.

Google Analytics 4 does not log or store full IP addresses. It uses the address to derive an approximate location and then discards it. We do not attempt to identify individual visitors, and we never connect analytics data to a name or email address from a form.

Google acts as our processor for this data. Its own practices are described at policies.google.com/privacy, and its explanation of how it uses data from sites that run its services is at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

7.What we do not use

It is worth saying plainly what is not on the Site, because it is unusual for a commercial website and it narrows what you need to worry about:

  • No Meta, X, LinkedIn, TikTok, or Pinterest advertising pixels;
  • No remarketing or retargeting tags that would follow you to other websites;
  • No heat maps or session recording that capture what you type or where you move your mouse;
  • No data brokers or audience-buying platforms;
  • No A/B testing tools that would put you in an experiment;
  • No cross-device tracking, and no attempt to link your phone to your laptop.

If we ever add any of these, this policy will be updated before the tag goes live, and where the law requires it we will ask for your consent first.

9.How to block or delete cookies

Every major browser lets you see, block, and delete cookies. These links go to each browser's own instructions:

Most browsers also offer a private or incognito window, which discards cookies when you close it. Blocking all cookies can break forms and logins on many sites, including ours, so if something stops working after you tighten your settings, try allowing first-party cookies while still blocking third-party ones.

10.Opting out of analytics

Two ways, depending on how thorough you want to be:

  • Block the cookies in your browser using the instructions above. This stops the analytics tag on our Site along with any others.
  • Install Google's opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, which stops Google Analytics from measuring your visits across every website you use, not just ours.

If you send us a browser signal like Global Privacy Control, we honor it as a request not to sell or share your information. We do not sell or share it in the first place, so there is nothing further for us to switch off. See the Do Not Track section of our Privacy Policy.

11.Third-party services and their own policies

These are the outside companies whose code runs on the Site. Each has its own privacy and cookie practices, which we do not control:

Our social media links are ordinary links, not embedded widgets. Nothing is sent to Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, or YouTube unless you click one of those links and leave our Site.

12.Changes to this policy

We will update this page whenever the cookies on the Site change, and the date at the top will show when we last did. If we add a category of cookie — advertising, for instance — we will say so here before it goes live and, where required, ask for your consent.

13.How to contact us

If you have a question about a cookie you have seen, or about how the Site handles your information, please ask. We would rather explain it than have you guess.
